Cardinal Inks Kodye Pugh

STANFORD, Calif. - Kodye Pugh, regarded as a consensus top-100 prospect nationally, has signed a National Letter of Intent with Stanford, Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men's Basketball Jerod Haase announced on Wednesday.

"We are thrilled to officially have Kodye as a member of the program," Haase said. "His personality  and character fit in great with the team off the court. On the court, he is long, lean, and skilled. His talents and versatility are perfect for how we want to play."

The 6-8 small forward is a member of the Rivals100 team and is rated a top-100 prospect by both Scout.com and 247Sports.com. He is ranked No. 11 at his position by 247Sports.com and No. 21 by ESPN.com in its national position rankings.



Pugh recently completed a stellar scholastic career at Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J., where he is set to graduate in June. He averaged 14 points and six rebounds during his senior season for the Buccaneers, earning All-Mid-Atlantic Prep League honors this past winter. Pugh guided Blair Academy to an appearance in the finals of the 2016 New Jersey stae high school prep championships.

A Baltimore, Maryland native, Pugh played two seasons at Boys' Latin School of Maryland after beginning his high school career at Archbishop Spalding.

He was a two-time Most Valuable Player and two-time all-conference selection at Boys' Latin School of Maryland. The small forward averaged 20.2 points and 10.1 rebounds with 14 double-doubles as a junior, en route to First Team All-Metro honors by the Baltimore Sun. Pugh was also a second-team All-USA Maryland Boys Basketball selection and a DMVelite All-Maryland first-team pick his junior season. He led the Lakers to a 24-6 record and the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference championship in 2015.  

The standout forward was invited to compete in several all-star camps, including the Reebok Classic Breakout Camp in Philadelphia, and the Under Armour All-America Camp in Charlotte. 

Pugh joins Pasadena, California standout Trevor Stanback in Stanford's 2016 signing class.
