Stanford's Paul Kornfeld and Michael Zoldos both finished second at the Canadian World Championship Trials on Friday and are more than likely headed to the World Championships later this month based on their performances.

Breeden Finishes Third in Another Butterfly

Stanford's Elaine Breeden finished third in her second butterfly event of the U.S. World Championship Trials, racing to a time of 2:07.40 on Friday. Breeden, who swam the fastest preliminary time, at 2:07.48 in the 200-meter race, was beat out by Kathleen Hersheys's time of 2:06.44.

  • Pedersen and Pohlen lead USA World University Games Team into semifinals
    Stanford women's basketball's Nnemkadi Ogwumike was named to the 12-person USA Basketball's U19 Championship Team, USA Basketball announced on Tuesday. For Ogwumike the selection represents a chance at a second straight gold medal with the junior national team, as she captured gold with the U18 team last summer at the FIBA U18 Championships.
