Lindsey joined the Sports Medicine staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in the fall of 2008 where she immediately began making a direct impact in the overall direction of the organization. Responsible for the daily medical coverage of Women’s Gymnastics and Men’s Rowing, Lindsey also provides mentorship for the medical coverage for Men’s Gymnastics and Women’s Rowing.

Since her arrival in 2008, Lindsey has provided vital contributions throughout the program, including policy and procedure development, undergraduate and graduate student mentorship, and emergency preparedness. Lindsey is active in developing valuable external relationships within the profession, specifically within NATA and FWATA. She is a member of Stanford Sports Medicine Education Advisory Committee, which serves to benefit both the undergraduate student intern program and the graduate athletic training program. Lindsey also coordinates Interdiciplinary Research with the Human Performance Lab. She also assists in the management of the Ford Burnham Satellite Athletic Training Facility.

As liaison to the Stanford Sports Medicine Human Performance Lab, Lindsey has participated in past projects aimed at addressing issues such as intrinsic risk of bone stress injury and inter-rater reliability of The Functional Movement Screen. Her areas of future research interests include on-field injury management and emergency preparedness.

Prior to arriving at Stanford, Lindsey earned her Master’s Degree in Exercise Science in the spring of 2008 from the University of Georgia. Lindsey is also active in providing health care and risk management for action sport athletes at selected RedBull events.  Lindsey is active within the community where she volunteered as an athletic trainer for the 2009 Bay Area Senior Olympics and currently serves at New Creation Home Ministries.
