First responders are present for all practices and competitions. Team physicians are on-site for competitions.
Emergency Communication:
Fixed telephone lines are located in the offices located in the back of the gymnasium training facility and in the Athletic Training Room in Burnam Pavillion. Cellular phones may or may not work inside the building.
Emergency Equipment:
AED, spine board, crutches, and vacuum splints are located in the Athletic Training Room in Burnam Pavillion. First Aid supplies are located in the gymnastics area.
In the event of an emergency:
1. Provide immediate care of the injured student-athlete or staff member.
2. Activate Emergency Medical Services (EMS) using
a. Fixed Telephone Line: Dial 9-911.
b. Cellular Telephone: Dial 911.
Instruct EMS personnel to "Report to the Ford-Burnham building using the South entrance. We have an injured student-athlete/staff member in need of emergency medical treatment. We are located on the first floor in the gymnastics gymnasium. A member of the Sports MEdicine Team will be waiting for you in the parking lot."
3. Notify Stanford Sports Medicine Staff at Arrillaga Family Sports Center Athletic Training Room by calling (650) 723-1214.
4. Retrieve necessary emergency equipment.
5. Direct EMS to the scene.
a. Open appropriate gates/doors.
b. Designate individual to "flag down" EMS and direct them to the scene.
c. Control the scene - Limit the scene to first responders. Remove bystanders.

Venue Directions:
From Campus Drive, turn onto Serra Street heading West. Burnham Pavillion is located on the right side of the street, past Arguello Way. Turn into the parking lot between Arguello Way and Galvez Street. This is the South entrance to Burnham Pavillion.
