The Stanford Women's Water Polo team plays their first game since last season's NCAA tournament this Saturday, October 22, against some of the top water polo players the nation has seen: the Stanford alumni.

Some notable alumni, Ellen Estes (class of 2002), a silver medallist on the 2000 U.S. Olympic team and bronze medallist in the 2004 Olympics, and Margie Dingeldein (Class of 2002), a member of the 2004 U.S. Olympic team, will be present to take on this year's varsity team.

The Cardinal is preparing for another successful season after last year's second place finish in the NCAA tournament to undefeated UCLA. Stanford graduated two seniors (Hannah and Kelty Luber) out of the 15 talented players of last year's season.

The Alumni game is set to begin at 11:00AM at the Avery Aquatic Center Saturday. The Cardinal will play a Scrimmage tournament next month at Stanford, November 13, for more pre-season activity.
