Stanford Wins Second Title in a Row at 20 and Under National Championships

Bakersfield, CA - The Stanford club team claimed their second straight Women's 20 and Under National Championship when they defeated SET (Long Beach, CA) by the score of 10-8 in Bakersfield, CA. Current Cardinal players Alex Koran, Kelly Eaton, Kira Hillman and Heather West were all members of the championship team, with Stanford Assistant Coach Susan Ortwein serving as the teams' Head Coach.

Kira Hillman was named the tournament MVP after Stanford also beat Santa Barbara 7-6 and the same SET team 10-9 earlier in the tournament.

Coming up next is Senior National Championships that will start today and will continue until Sunday also in Bakersfield, CA. Stanford senior Jacquelyn Gauthier will join the rest of the team for this tournament.
