After a week off of competition, second-ranked Stanford is ready to resume action with a home game against #18 Princeton on Friday, March 24, at 7:00pm. The Cardinal is 12-3 overall this season, 6-1 in the MPSF.

The Princeton Tigers are 11-3 so far after two back-to-back wins on Tuesday against Cal State Monterey Bay and Sonoma State. Prior to Tuesday's games, the Tigers had a tough weekend in California with split results on Saturday, crushing UC Santa Cruz 14-4 but dropping to Santa Clara 12-4, and Sunday, falling to San Jose State in overtime, 9-8.

Stanford's lead scorer, freshman Lauren Silver, has 28 goals on the season, followed closely by last year's leader Katie Hansen with 22 goals. Maredith McColl has 125 saves in her 15 games at goal for the Cardinal and has allowed only 63 goals. Stanford maintains a strong opening technique in their play, having scored a total of 50 goals in the first quarter of all of their games and allowing their opponents only 11 goals in the same quarter.

Princeton's lead scorers on Tuesday were Jessica Ajoux with four goals against Cal State Monterey Bay and Samantha Shaughnessy with three against Sonoma State. Shannon Devore made 12 saves against CSUMB and Natalie Kim closed out against Sonoma State with 11 saves.

Friday's match will be held in the Belardi Pool next to Avery in the same complex. There will be limited seating; the game begins at 7:00PM.

Stanford will head to Hawaii for a spring break game on Tuesday, March 28, gametime TBA. The Cardinal returns home for a face-off with rival Cal on April 2 at 7:00PM.
