STANFORD, Calif. -
Freshman driver Kiley Neushul earned her second KAP 7 MPSF Newcomer of the Week honor, the conference announced Monday.
Neushul previously took home the honor on Jan. 30.
The Goleta, Calif. native scored 12 goals over Stanford's four games at the UCI Invitational in Irvine over the weekend. She posted a pair of hat tricks, highlighted by a five-goal effort in Sunday's 13-5 semifinal rout of No. 4 California.
Stanford (11-1) finished second at the tournament, falling 5-4 to UCLA in Sunday's title game. Neushul netted a goal in that contest.
On the year, Neushul leads the Cardinal with 27 goals over the first 12 games, good for a 2.25 goals per game average that ranks fourth in the MPSF.
Neushul and the Cardinal return to the pool Saturday, March 3, hosting Long Beach State at 1 p.m. at Avery Aquatic Center.
