No. 3 Stanford (5-1, 2-0) will hook up once again with No. 2 USC (5-1, 1-0) in a battle of two of the top teams in the nation. The Cardinal and Trojans will meet on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 1:00 pm at the Avery Aquatic Center. On Sunday, Stanford will host unranked Cal State Northridge (3-4) beginning at 1:00 pm.

For the Cardinal, beating the Trojans has proven to be quite frustrating. Over the past two seasons, Stanford has lost all four games against USC, two by one goal and two by two goals. Earlier this season at the Stanford Invitational, the Trojans beat the Cardinal 8-6.

A year ago, USC, which went 27-3 and lost a tough 9-8 decision to UCLA in the NCAA Championship match, beat Stanford three times by scores of 9-7, 6-5 and 7-6.

Stanford is led in scoring by Lauren Silver with 14 goals, Katie Hansen with 12 and Christina Hewko with nine. The Cardinal has outscored its opponents 77-39 in six games in 2007.
