Stanford Women's Water Polo Signs Two to 1997-98 Squad
Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford women's water polo team will add two top players to the 1998-99 squad, announced head coach John Tanner today. Margie Dingeldein (Merced, CA/Merced HS) and Jackie Frank (Seal Beach, CA/Los Alamitos HS) have both signed National Letters of Intent to compete at Stanford.
"We are very excited that these two have decided to join our program," said Tanner. "Both of them are extemely talented athletes and excellent students. They are a good fit for both the team and the university."

Margie Dingeldein
Merced, CA/Merced HS
5-6 Driver/Defender
Member of the U.S. Junior National Women's Water Polo Team ... High school league MVP in 1996 and 1997 ...
Named to the 1997 USWP Junior National Championship First Team ... National Merit semifinalist.
Jackie Frank
Seal Beach, CA/Los Alamitos HS
5-11 Goalie
Named a first team high school All-American in 1996-97 ... MVP of USWP Junior National Championship ...
Starting goalie on the bronze medal-winning U.S. Jr. National Team that competed at the Junior World Championships in Prague in 1997 ... CSF every semester in high school.
