What has been your favorite vacation?
My favorite vacation was a week long summer trip to Miami, Florida. My family and I went with my brother who was participating in the Junior Olympics there. We went out on the beach to relax and I caught a glimpse of a dolphin, which happen to be my favorite animal.
Anything you're `addicted' to or spend way too much time doing?
I'm a big TV and movie addict. One of my favorite types of shows to watch are cartoons, especially "Recess". Once there was a play-all marathon and I made it through all of them except the last two. I think that's where I dozed off. I got hooked in elementary. Recess was one of the best parts of my day.
How did you spend last summer?
This past summer I spent training for the year after some much needed rest. I also worked tryouts for Texas Tornados volleyball club in Houston. The main jobs were administering agility and reach tests, running drills and giving a few coaching tips on the side. I enjoyed myself. Hopefully I'll be doing the same this summer.
What has been the best advice you've ever received?
The best advice I've ever received came from my mom, of course. I was 16 and it was after a match that our team had lost which ruined our chances to qualify for Junior Olympics. She came up to me and said, "You should never hang your head low if you've given something all you've got. Giving it your best deserves respect." That advice has applied to so many things in my life, even beyond volleyball.
