Stanford Increases Win Streak to Seven

STANFORD, Calif. --- Senior Paula McNamee (Wheaton, MD/Sidwell Friends HS) had game-highs of nine kills and eight blocks to lead fourth-ranked Stanford University (12-2 overall, 3-0 in the Pac-10) to an easy 15-3, 15-2, 15-5 win over the University of Oregon (7-7, 0-4) on Sunday afternoon at Maples Pavilion. The win increased Stanford's Pac-10 home winning streak to 29 matches.

The Cardinal never trailed in the 63-minute match, and outhit the Ducks .538-.074. The .538 team hitting percentage is the highest by any Pac-10 team this season.

Sophomore Kerri Walsh (Saratoga, CA/Archbishop Mitty HS) added eight kills, six digs and four blocks for the Cardinal, while senior Kristin Folkl (St. Louis, MO/St. Josephs Academy) also had eight kills.

Junior Madeline Ernst (St. Paul, OR/St. Paul HS) led the Ducks with six kills and three digs.

Stanford returns to action on Friday when it visits No. 7 USC at 6 p.m.
