Sacramento State vs. Minnesota
NCAA Round 1
Minnesota Quotes

Head Coach Mike Hebert

On the different styles of play:
"Congratulations to Sac State. They really played the game well. They did so many things that coaches of the game and insiders of the game really appreciate. I was very impressed. As for our part we did not play our usual game. We were mistake ridden. We're very uncomfortable with this style of play. The Big Ten conference is more of a power conference with strong hitting and blocking. We knew we were gunna have our hands full with this different fast-paced style of play, the finesse shots, the tipping, that's not our comfort zone so they really disrupted us and congratulations to them for doing that, really impressive."

Brook Dieter

On her freshman season:
For my freshman season it's been great, and it's been hard. I thought that I definitely learned a lot from it and I learned leadership, which is a big thing. I learned how to control myself on the court and all that. I think that this match was a great experience to play players who shot a lot. I thought that was great to experience. Obviously that was a tough experience, going in your freshman year and losing, but it's been fun.

On their youth:
Obviously because they have so many seniors they don't want that to be their last match. But we as freshman didn't want this to be our last year either. Obviously the seniors have played a lot more than we have, but I think we got a lot of experience in the Big Ten. We played lots of matches. So I mean I guess they've got more experience, but I felt well prepared.
