Stanford Doubles Pair Captures Consolation Title

Scott and Bleszynski Rebound From First Round Loss

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.--Stanford's Julie Scott and Ania Bleszynski, the nation's third-ranked doubles team, swept the No. 2 team of Agnes Muzamel and Courtenay Chapman (Mississippi) in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 to capture the consolation doubles title at the 1997 Riviera All-American Championships held at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Scott and Bleszynski, who were upset in their first round match in the main draw, ran off three straight victories to win the consolation bracket.
