Ten Teams Advance to NCAA Championships at Stanford
STANFORD, Calif. - The NCAA Division I women's tennis
subcommittee has selected the top ten teams to advance automatically
to the national championship at Stanford University. Six regionals
will be conducted May 9-11 with the winner of each regional
advancing to the finals.
The NCAA Women's Tennis Championship will be at the
newly-expanded Taube Family Tennis Stadium on Stanford's campus from
May 15-23, 1997. The team finals are May 15-18 and the singles and
doubles championships run from May 19-23. On Friday, May 2, the
singles field of 64 and doubles field of 32 will be released.
Here are the ten teams which have automatically advanced:
