Cardinal Help U.S. Finish Sixth at FINA World Trophy

STANFORD, Calif. - The U.S. national synchronized swimming team finished sixth overall at the 6th FINA World Trophy in Beijing, China.

During the final day of competition, Team USA was fifth in the free combo with a 93.125 score.

Representing the Cardinal was Morgan Fuller, Megan Hansley, Maria Koroleva, Michelle Moore and Olivia Morgan.

Spain won the overall gold for the three-day event with 386.665 points, with host China (384.102) taking silver and Canada winning bronze (377.614). Russia (375.112) was fourth and Italy (371.466) fifth. The World Trophy consists of solo, duet, team and combinations, with scores given for artistic impression only.

Other members of the U.S. national team at the 2011 FINA World Trophy included: Mary Killman (McKinney, Texas), Leah Pinette (Bristol, Conn.), Caitlin Stewart (Huntington Beach, Calif.), Michelle Theriault (North Hills, Calif.), Katy Wiita (Vancouver, Wash.) and Alison Williams (Northridge, Calif.).
