Six Stanford athletes advanced to Phase 2 of the Team 1 national team trials

Six Stanford athletes advanced to Phase 2 of the Team 1 national team trials

On Jan. 17-18, six members of the Stanford synchronized swimming team competed in phase 1 of the Team 1 National Team Trials. Alex Bollaidlaw, Debbie Chen, Maria Koroleva, Michelle Moore, Olivia Morgan and Corinne Smith each attempted to advance to the next phase of qualifying.

All six qualified to compete in the next phase of the squad selection. Phase 2 of the Team 1 trials will be held at Stanford University on May 3, the day after U.S. Nationals.

During phase 2, the 2009 World Championship Team Training Squad will be selected. This team will go on to compete at World Championships in Rome, Italy.
