STANFORD, Calif. -- Three members of the Stanford synchronized swimming team were selected to the 2010 U.S. National Team 1 training squad over the weekend.

Sophomores Maria Koroleva and Olivia Morgan and freshman Megan Hansley have all been named to the training squad. The team will down-size to a 12-member roster at the U.S. Junior National Championships, March 24-28, in Austin, Texas.

The squad will be training together this week in Santa Clara, Calif. This year's team is comprised of a very mixed group of athletes, including kids in high school, college, and beyond. The team also includes four petitions, two of which are members from the 2008 Olympic Team - Christina Jones and Annabelle Orme.

The Stanford synchronized swimming team opens the 2010 season in Saint Charles, Mo., on Jan. 29-30. The team will compete against Lindenwood University on Friday before participating in the Lindenwood Invitational on Saturday.
