SINGAPORE-- Former Stanford All-American Julia Smit is in second place in the world cup standings after the third international event of the fall season, paced by three gold medals and a silver in Singapore over the weekend.

Last year's NCAA Swimmer of the Year won gold in the 50, 100 and 200-meter individual medleys and added a silver medal in the 200 back. In two events this past week, the New York native has compiled eight medals, four golds and four silvers for 30 points in the world cup standings.

Stanford's Peter Marshall is in seventh place after three events on the men's side with 19 points. Marshall won his second-straight 50 back, beating fellow Cardinal great Randall Bal by two tenths of a second. Marshall also got his second-straight silver medal in the 100 back. Overall Marshall has five medals.

USA teammate Elaine Breeden picked up another gold medal in the 200 fly, beating China's Jie Gong by a half second. Breeden had three medals last week after a gold (200 fly) and silver (100 fly) in Beijing.

Bol has three medals this season, winning two silvers in the 50 back (Rio de Janeiro, Singapore) and a gold in the 50 back (Rio de Janeiro).

Former Cardinal Tobias Oriwol also competed in Singapore, finishing fourth the 200 back and 100 IM after winning a bronze in the 400 IM.

The complete schedule for the world cup includes: Rio de Janeiro (Sept 10-12), Beijing (October 12-13), Singapore (October 16-17), Tokyo (October 20-21), Berlin (October 30-31), Moskow (November 2-3) and Stockholm (November 6-7). Over 80 swimmers are a part of each event.
