IRVINE, Calif.-- Stanford incoming freshman Andie Taylor reached her second main final in as many days, finishing sixth in the 200-meter butterfly, while Kelsey Ditto put herself into Saturday's 800 freestyle finals following the second to last day of the ConocoPhillips National Championships.

Taylor reached the finals after securing the last spot in the preliminary round (2:10.87), swimming 2:11.72 in the nightcap for sixth place. Graduate Elaine Breeden had the 11th fastest preliminary time but elected not to swim in the consolation finals. Incoming freshman Felicia Lee did, finishing 14th overall with a time of 2:13.24.

Kelsey Ditto, after coming in as the seventh seed, swam into fifth place in the 800 freestyle and will be a part of Saturday's finals following a time of 8:40.32. Ditto overtook Chelsea Chenaut on the final leg by two-hundreths of a second after trailing the Maryland swimmer by nearly a second and a half with 50 meters to go.

Taylor, a Seattle native, and the nation's third-rated recruit by collegeswimming.com, has reached three finals this week. Along with today's 200 butterfly, Taylor was seventh in Thursday's 400 individual medley and 11th in Tuesday's 400 freestyle.

The event runs through Saturday and live coverage is available on swimnetwork.com and NBC on August 7 and 8. Most trials begin at 9 a.m with finals starting at 6 p.m. Results from this event will help choose the American team to compete at the Pan Pacific Championships starting on August 18.
