Head diving coach Dr. Rick Schavone will have the talents of incoming freshman Meg Hostage in 2007-08

Indianapolis, Ind. - Incoming freshman Meg Hostage took fifth in the platform event at the 2007 Kaiser Permanente Senior National Diving Championships on Saturday. Hostage posted 310.15 points while competing on the fourth day of the event being held at the Maas Family Diving Facility on the campus of Stanford University.

Hostage's performance qualified her for the 2008 Olympic Trials.

"Meg performed great today," said Stanford head diving coach Dr. Rick Schavone. "She has to be very pleased with her performance."

The six-day event will conclude on Sunday with the 3-meter and 3-meter synchro finals being contested on the women's side.
