Northwestern Invitational Results

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Stanford women's swim team had a successful first day at the Northwestern Invitational Saturday. In the 50 meter freestyle event, Stanford took the top four spots with C. Fox (23.16), S. Cropper (23.68), G. Rose (23.78) and Jessica Amey (23.98) all topping the field.

Stanford took the top two spots in the women's senior 500 freestyle event. A. Oberhelman set a pool record by finishing the event in 4:48:64. Lauren Thies finished second at 4:53.65.

In the women's senior 400 relay-medley, Stanford squads took first and second with times of 3:43.10 and 3:48.03. In the women's senior 200 meter Stanford swimmers took the top five spots. G. Rose (2:01.12), C. Fox (2:01:25), Misty Hyman (2:02.98), Chantal Rawn (2:03.00) and A. Fealy (2:04.06) swept the top spots for Stanford.
