Stanford Leads After First Day of SMU Classic
DALLAS, Texas--The Stanford women's swimming and diving team is in first place with 182 points after the first day of competition at the SMU Women's Swimming and Diving Classic at Parkins Natatorium.
SMU is in second with 177 followed by Nebraska with 133.
Stanford's Lauren Thies won the 400 Individual Medley in 4:18.37 while Misty Hyman took the 100 Fly in 54.34. Catherine Fox the 50 Free in 23.17 to pace the Cardinal. Stanford's 400 medley relay team (Fox, Elin Austevoll, Hyman and Jessica Amey) won in 3:40.68 while the 800 Free Relay Team (Gabrielle Rose, Thies, Chantal Rawn, Amy Oberhelman) took first in 7:22.67.
The SMU Classic continues through November 8.
