COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Stanford's women's divers concluded the prestigious Art Adamson Invitational hosted by Texas A&M with a pair of third-place finishes by sophomore Meg Hostage in Saturday's 1-meter competition and junior Carmen Stellar on Sunday's platform.
Hostage, who placed in both meter competitions over the weekend, finished third on the 3-meter with an NCAA "B" standard score of 257.70. Stellar was Stanford's lone diver in the platform competition and responded by placing third with a 243.05 that marked the best score of her collegiate career and an NCAA "B" standard.
Stellar and freshman Mary Beth Corbett also dove in the preliminaries of Saturday's 1-meter competition, but did not advance to the finals.
Cardinal divers finished ahead of UCLA - the only other Pac-10 diving team at the Art Adamson Invitational - in all three events.
