LONG BEACH, Calif.-- Stanford junior Andi Murez picked up a win in the 200 free, while Maya DiRado (400 IM), Betsy Webb (100 back) and Sam Woodward (100 fly) each finished in the top-three at Friday's Arena Invite at Belmont Plaza Pool.

Murez closed out the first day by anchoring the winning 800 free relay squad to a time of 7:10.54, beating Cal in the process (7:12.61). DiRado took over the lead on her final 50 yards and then handed off to freshman Maddy Schaefer and Murez for the win.

Murez also picked up the win in the 200 free, winning with a time of 1:46.10, .25 seconds ahead of Arizona State's Shanna Landgrebe (1:46.35). Murez took over the lead at the halfway point from Landgrebe and her ASU teammate Cassie Morrice leaving the Sun Devils to finish second and third.

Woodward finished behind Olympians Dana Vollmer and Elaine Breeden in the 100 fly as two of America's top flyers each had pool records on the day. Vollmer set the pool record (50.44) in the night cap, followed by Breeden (52.35) and Woodward (53.12). Both Olympian's times were under Breeden's pool record setting time in the morning (52.55).

Maya DiRado was third in the 400 IM, finishing behind former Stanford great Julia Smit and her own pool record of 4:02.01 and Cal's Caitlyn Leverenz (4:05.67). DiRado's time of 4:07.92, followed by teammate Andie Taylor (4:12.13) were third and fourth as Smit broke her own pool record of 4:03.31, set two years ago.

Webb, in the final individual event of the night, was third in the 100 back at 53.87. On the first day of the Wildcat Diving Invite in Tucson, Stephanie Phipps was sixth in the three-meter. The 17-team women's Arena Invite runs through Saturday.
