COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Stanford wrapped up the opening day of the NCAA Zone Diving Championships with five top-40 finishes in the 3-meter event Thursday afternoon at the Air Force Cadet Natatorium.

Stephanie Phipps (275.95) was 20th and Alexandra Clay (264.15) was 26th to lead the scoring for the Cardinal women's divers.

In 30th was Sloan Brazina (256.45) and Lillian Hinrichs (236.55) took 37th. Kelly Markle placed inside the top 40 with a 230.30 for 39th.

Arizona's Samantha Pickens won the 3-meter with a 708.45.

The meet continues with the 1-meter event on Friday.
