LONG BEACH, Calif. - Sophomore Catherine Fox (Shawnee Mission, KS/Bishop Miege HS) and freshman Misty Hyman (Phoenix, AZ/Shadown Mountain HS) won three events apiece to help top-ranked Stanford win its 12th straight Pacific-10 Conference championship on February 27-March 1 in Long Beach, California.

The Cardinal finished with 1405.5 points, while No. 4 USC (1210.5) and No. 5 Arizona (1060.5) rounded out the top three.

Fox won the 50 yard freestyle (22.69), 100 freestyle (49.24) and 100 backstroke (53.01), and now has six individual titles in two years. In the 50 freestyle final, Fox tied for the title with teammate Siobhan Cropper (Trindiad, West Indies/St. Joseph's Convent).

Hyman captured the 200 backstroke (1:54.84), 100 butterfly (53.35) and 200 butterfly (1:56.74), and also set a meet record in the 100 butterfly preliminaries (53.17).

Stanford also won four of the five relays contested, including meet records in the 200 freestyle (1:30.98), 800 freestyle (7:12.14) and 400 medley (3:38.13).

The Cardinal will next look to win its sixth NCAA title in the last seven years on March 19-21 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
