WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. Stanford squash split its first two matches of the season, losing to Harvard and defeating Hamilton.

The Cardinal fell to Harvard, 6-3. Julie Koenig (3-1), Serena Fagan (3-0) and Alexandra Huchro (3-0) earned victories. Huchro was competing in her first competition as a Cardinal. Senior Katie Corelli lost a close match, 11-9.

Stanford defeated Hamilton 9-0 in its second match of the day, winning all matches 3-0. Freshman Ariel Posner made her Stanford debut.

The Cardinal return to action on Saturday for three matches against Middlebury, Cornell and Williams College.
