Stanford Defeats Sixth-Ranked Cornell, 5-4 in Howe Cup

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Stanford women's squash team rebounded from Friday's, 9-0 loss to second ranked Trinity College to upend sixth-ranked Cornell, 5-4 on Saturday in the consolation bracket of the Howe Cup.

Stanford head coach Mark Talbott called the victory over the Big Red the "biggest win to date in the three year history of the varsity program."

Individual results from the match were unavailable.

Stanford will meet Princeton on Sunday in the fifth place match of the Howe Cup being contested at Yale University.
