STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford's women's squash team dropped two of three matches on its most recent east coast road swing, with a victory over Dartmouth bookend by losses to fifth-ranked Princeton and Penn.

The sixth-ranked Cardinal suffered an 8-1 setback to Princeton Friday night at the Jadwin Squash Courts, with Samantha Buechner picking up Stanford's lone win at the No. 5 position with a hard-fought five-game victory over Katie Giovinazzi. Seven of the nine matches went at least four games, including three at the bottom of the lineup that were extended to five games. Stanford failed to hold leads in five of the nine matches against the fourth-ranked Tigers.

The Cardinal bounced back on Saturday to defeat Dartmouth, 8-1 in match played at Princeton. Stanford won seven of the eight matches in straight games. Buechner and Aditi Maliwal were extended to four games before posting wins at the No. 5 and 6 positions.

Stanford fell to fourth-ranked Penn, 8-1 on Sunday, with Pamela Chua scoring an impressive five-game victory over Nabilia Ariffin at the No. 1 position. Kyla Sherwood and Buechner extended their opponents to four games before falling at the No. 4 and 5 positions.

Stanford will next be in action at the Howe Cup, set for Feb. 18-20 at Princeton.
