Pac-12 Networks Announces Softball Broadcast Schedule

STANFORD, Calif. - The Pac-12 Networks has announced its 2013 softball television schedule, which includes 34 total contests for the conference. The Cardinal will have seven games televised on the networks with three wildcard dates still to be determined for the conference.

The first Stanford game broadcast on the Pac-12 Network will be at Oregon on Sunday, March 24. The Cardinal's first home contest aired on the networks will be a March 28 contest against UCLA at Smith Family Stadium.

Stanford's double-header against Arizona State on Apr. 6 will be shown live on the Pac-12 Networks. The Cardinal's Apr. 26 match-up against Utah, May 5 game at California and May 9 contest against Arizona will also air on the Pac-12 Networks.

Stanford will take on some of the nation's best competition this spring. The Cardinal will play 29 games against teams that participated in last year's NCAA Tournament, including conference series' with 2012 Women's College World Series participants Arizona State, California and Oregon. Stanford will also play 24 games against teams that finished last season ranked in the top 25.

The Cardinal finished 40-19 overall in 2012 and made its 15th consecutive NCAA postseason appearance. Stanford ended the year ranked No. 21 nationally and finished sixth in the competitive Pac-12 Conference. The Cardinal returns 14 players from last year's roster, including 2012 NFCA All-American Jenna Rich.
