STANFORD, Calif. -Each week GoStanford.com will feature a Q&A with a different member of the 2013 Stanford softball team. This week get to know senior outfielder Sarah Hassman.

Nicknames: Hass and Sassy

How old were you when you first started playing softball? 10

If you could have one superpower what would it be? The ability to freeze time because it goes by waaaay too fast, and I wish I could cherish some moments longer than they are.

Besides softball, do you have any unique talents? Sewing, drawing and playing the guitar.

Do you have any pregame superstitions or rituals? I text my mom before every game and listen to a certain playlist.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?
New Zealand because it seems like a gorgeous place and there are so many outdoor adventures to go on!

What is your proudest sports moment? Diving head first into first base and being safe during the first 2009 Super Regional game against Arizona. I had just talked to Brandon Marcello a month earlier about that exact play and it felt amazing to execute it!

If you could attend one professional sporting event what would it be? The World Series in San Francisco.

Favorite candy? Anything chocolate

What is your favorite thing about being a Stanford student-athlete? You get the best of both worlds. Being challenged at the highest level in the classroom and out on the field.

Who are your role models? My Parents

What is one material thing you could not live without? My Cuddle Blanket

What TV show would you want to be on/a part of? The Amazing Race
