Stanford's softball team defeated the San Diego State Aztecs 8-1 on Friday at the CSF Showcsae Tournament in Fullerton. The Cardinal imrove to 7-2 on the year.

Michele Acosta had a huge game for Stanford. She went 2-for-3 from the plate, homered, drove in four runs and stole a base. Acosta left the pitching duties up to Becky Blevins, who earned her fourth win of the year by four-hitting the Aztecs through six innings. Stacey Puccio was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for the Aztecs.
