STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford's Paul Ratcliffe was named as the CaptainU Division I Women's College Soccer Coach of the Year.

Ratcliffe guided Stanford to its best record (25-1) and into its first NCAA championship final. Along the way, the Cardinal broke a school record for goals (80) and established the longest winning streak in Stanford history - 25 games.

Stanford placed a national-high four players on the NSCAA All-America teams and had five first-team All-Pacific-10 Conference selections. Ratcliffe was named as the Pac-10's Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Ratcliffe is 110-34-16 in seven seasons at Stanford, making him the winningest coach in the program's history and the longest tenured. In 12 seasons at the collegiate level, Ratcliffe is 165-68-23, with eight NCAA Tournament appearances.

Ratcliffe has coached five first-team All-Americans at Stanford and 10 in all, and has had 22 all-conference players, 38 Pac-10 All-Academic selections and three Olympians.
