CHICAGO - Stanford soccer recruit Jane Campbell has been called into the U.S. Under-20 women's national team for the 12 Nations Tournament.

Campbell, a goalkeeper from Kennesaw, Ga., was one of eight players to sign letters of intent earlier this month to attend Stanford next fall. She will be joining the U.S. U-20's in La Manga, Spain. The friendly tournament goes from March 1-12.

The U.S. will play three matches - on March 7 against Norway, March 9 against Germany, and March 11 against Sweden.

Campbell is one of 18 players called into the team. Most participated in the team's first training camp, earlier this month at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. Campbell, however, was called into camp with the full national team. Campbell, who turned 18 on Feb. 17, is believed to be the youngest goalkeeper ever called to the full U.S. team.

The ultimate goal for the U-20s is the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Canada. Campbell is the reigning NSCAA Youth Girls Player of the Year and a two-time NSCAA Youth All-American.
