Callie Withers and Nicole Barnhart Named NSCAA Academic All-Americans
Jan. 16, 2003 Stanford, Calif. - Stanford women's soccer players Callie Withers (Los Altos Hills, CA) and Nicole Barnhart (Gilbertsville, PA) were selected to the 2002 NSCAA/adidas Women's Collegiate Scholar All-America Team. Withers, a senior, was named to the First Team, while Barnhart earned Third Team accolades. Withers was a dominate force in the midfield, earning First Team All-America and Pac-10 honors as well. Barnhart, a sophomore goalkeeper, joined Withers on the All-America and Pac-10 teams. Withers holds a 3.30 GPA in human biology, while Barnhart has a 3.40 GPA in studio art. The NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-America Teams will be honored at the NSCAA/adidas All-America Luncheon, to be held Saturday, Jan. 18, as part of the 2003 NSCAA Convention in Kansas City, Mo.
