STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford senior Maris Perlman was named co-Player of the Week by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for her play against Denver and Cal. The victories enabled Stanford to wrap up an undefeated conference season and earn the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye to the MPSF Tournament, to be held at Stanford April 23-26.

Perlman, a defensive specialist in the midfield, tied a school record by causing five turnovers in Stanford's 13-4 victory over Cal on Sunday. Her performance appropriately came on Senior Day, in which the team's four seniors were honored before the game.

Perlman equaled her own single-game mark that she shares with five others. She also had two ground balls and a draw control, and leads the team in ground balls and caused turnovers.

She also had two ground balls in a 17-10 victory over MPSF preseason favorite Denver on Friday, and has been the key to Stanford's transition attack all season because her quickness, athletic ability and willingness to fight for every possession.
