Stanford, Calif. - The Jaquish & Kenninger Director of Athletics, Bob Bowlsby announced Monday that Michele Uhlfelder has decided to pursue other career options, and will step down as head coach of the Stanford lacrosse program, effective immediately. It has been under her guidance the last eight years that the program has reached national prominence and many historic milestones.

"We wish Michele the best in the next phase of her career; and we thank her for her contributions to the university and to our student-athletes" said Bowlsby.

Assistant Coaches Adam Norton and Jen Kasper will serve as co-head coaches through the conclusion of the current season. Stanford is currently 3-2 and plays Notre Dame on March 2 at Cagan Stadium.
