STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women’s lacrosse juniors Anna Kim and Lyndsey Munoz were named to the Tewaaraton Award watch list, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation Friday.

The Tewaaraton Award is given annually to the top collegiate women’s lacrosse player in the country. The watch list currently consists of 50 athletes and will be narrowed down to 25 in late April, before the top-five candidates are announced in mid-May.

Kim and Munoz had terrific 2012 seasons and were both All-MPSF selections.

Munoz started her 2013 season strong against No. 9 Notre Dame, making seven saves and collecting six ground balls. In 2012, she made a total of 153 saves, picked up 23 ground balls and caused six turnovers.

Despite missing seven games in 2012 due to injury, Kim managed to record 25 goals, 18 draw controls and 15 ground balls in just 11 games. Kim tallied a goal on three shots in this year’s season opener against Notre Dame.

Kim and Munoz will help lead Stanford against Harvard at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24 at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
