STANFORD, Calif. - Junior midfielder Dana Lindsay was named as the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's co-Player of the Week for her performance in Stanford's season-opening 17-5 victory over Oregon on Sunday in Eugene.

Lindsay earned the MPSF's first honor of the season by scoring four goals and assisting on two others.

Two of her goals were especially timely. Lindsay, the team's leading returning scorer, scored on a free-position shot eight minutes into the game with Stanford trailing, 3-1, to begin a streak of 15 consecutive goals.

However, that run didn't begin in earnest until another free-position goal by Lindsay with Stanford holding a 4-3 lead. That sparked a flurry of four goals within a 3:18 span just before the half to give the Cardinal a commanding 8-3 lead.

Lindsay scored 31 goals and had 13 assists last season.
