Hi SWG fans!!

Today we wrapped up the week with a highly anticipated intrasquad, the first of the season. It was great to see how far our team has progressed in only a few short months. Not only did our gymnastics look spectacular, the team camaraderie was amazing! For the purposes of the intrasquad we were split into two teams, "Quince" and "The Pound"-yes, weird names, I know, but it was fun to dress up for the themes and get the crowd going! Thanks to all the fans that came out to support us! It was fun performing to a crowd! We even had guest judges come in; some of them being gymnast's teachers, some gymnasts from the guy's team, and even past Stanford gymnasts. It was definitely a fun competition. Before we left the locker room to compete, Tabitha said that today was going to be our hardest competition of the year because we were competing against each other! I thought that was a great outlook on today's exhibition and on the season as a whole. It was great to use this intrasquad as a check point and she what our strengths and weaknesses are. The MVP of the meet was definitely Heather Purnell, as she totally raised the bar throughout the whole competition. She was the first to compete for team "Quince" and continued to be a leader, posting huge scores on every single event. According to the scores, which weren't very accurate given the guest judges' creative evaluations (including some some 10.6s), team "Quince" won!!! But the "Pound" put up an incredible fight!

Hope that everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
