HI!
One of the slogans we use in the gym is "finish stronger than you started" and I think we did a great job of that this week in particular. This week's training was unlike any other thus far. We pushed through some tough days of intense conditioning coupled with a lot of (sweet) gymnastics. It was so exciting to see so many girls doing their 10.0 vaults and putting tumbling into their new floor routines. The highlight of this week was definitely our first beam intrasquad. Not only did we hit six for six, but we also showed a level of confidence I have not seen before. We're pushing for a mean beam team this year and I think we're heading in the right direction. Shout out to Carly Janiga for a wobble-free routine in her first intrasquad and for turning 18 on October 19th! Happy Birthday! Out of the gym, most of us studied for midterms in the beginning of the week and are glad to have them over with…at least until next week. I have to pay my respects to Aimee for getting through midterms on three consecutive days! We're all pushing each other in and out of the gym and it's showing in our gymnastics, academics, and team chemistry. Our SWG family is growing closer everyday and I can't wait to see what new obstacles we'll overcome together this week.
Thanks for reading and, as always, GO CARD!
