March 21, 2006

So this week has been a little stressful because we have been training very hard for Pac-10s and we have been studying for our finals coming up. Practice has been getting ever more exciting, especially after this past Saturday's workout. We did a tenative run through of what Pac-10s will be like with all the byes between events and pressure routines.

This meet is the longest meet of our season because there are seven teams in the Pac-10, and with only four events there is a lot of waiting--although in the past we haven't had a problem filling the time (let's just say we bring speakers and good music to dance to). I figure this meet is more like a practice of mental and physical toughness for NCAAs and will be a walk in the park for us. From watching our run through on Saturday we are going to be quite a force to reckon with--we are cleaning up our form and our stick percentages are only going up.

Post season is the best part of the whole season because it's when our gymnastics becomes refined and perfect, and these competitions are the most fun to compete in. After our close meet with Alabama, we were not discouraged and are only more motivated to prove to everyone that we are the team to beat. It's going to be a dog fight from here on out
