Our season is over a couple weeks too early. We are all bummed that we didn't make it to Nationals, but we are also proud of our performance at Regionals. We had an awesome meet, and considering how many injuries we faced this year, we were very close to making it to Nationals. As captains, we can say that we are proud of all the girls who competed and really stepped up to fill in the shoes of those who were injured. The girls who were injured also really stepped up in an emotional way to provide so much support and energy to those of us who were posting scores. We are already looking ahead with a lot of excitement and motivation that this past season has given us. It's awesome to know that we will not be losing any people next year (no seniors!), but that we will be gaining three girls who have a great potential to contribute so much to the team.

Looking back over the year, we think it was an incredible time of growth and rebuilding for the program. Even though it's never fun to push through hard times, it has taught us a lot about ourselves and through that we have grown closer--we had to work through things together, and figure out how to make the best of every situation. We have a tremendous love and respect for our program, and we know that this year will make the years to come much richer. We also have tremendous love and respect for our coaches and the girls and what they bring to the team. Our coaches put in so much time, care, and energy into our program, and they are just awesome people. Hopefully the summer will give us a fresh start and despite our falls here and there our goal has not changed--we are still out to win a national championship title.
