Hello everyone!
It's great to write my second "Inside the Locker Room" of the '04-'05 season. I have three exciting things to talk about for this week.
One: Finals are finally over, so everyone is feeling much more relaxed! The girls moved out of the dorms on Sunday and half of them stayed at my house and the other half at Natty Fo's house for the week. That has been a lot of fun. The team bonded a lot over team meals and team shopping trips. We are doing Secret Santa at the gym, and while it's fun to watch people get cute little gifts, it is much more exciting to try to figure out who everyone has! I already know a few, and I'm working on the others!
Two: December 15th was Larissa's birthday! The team gave her a really nice birthday card (created by Glynie), and some pretty, dangly earrings. Happy birthday, Riss!
Three: We had our first intrasquad with judges, competition leos, and even spectators! The competition was wonderful! The whole team, including coaches, were energized and focused. Everyone stuck their beam landings, and the new floor routines were a hit!!! We are just where we want to be. We are making routines and hitting landings, but still have room for improvement. We will spend the last couple weeks before our first meet polishing everything up. I'd like to send a special thanks to the fans that made it out to our first intrasquad, including our strength coach, Mike Coffey, and the rest of the weight room staff! We absolutely love any chance we have to interact with our fans. :)
That about wraps up this week's edition of "Inside the Locker Room!" I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a happy new year!
