Hello friends and fans of SWG!

Summer vacation is finally over, and the team is back and very excited to begin the year. We kicked off pre-season with a team retreat to the Russian River. The retreat included kayaking down the river, playing word games at the beach, and some fun team meetings. This was a great way for the freshman class to get to know the team, and for the team to get to know the freshmen. We are so lucky to have such a big class of awesome girls for the incoming group. Their names are Lauren, Alex, Aimee, Tabitha, Liz, and Stephanie.

The day after the retreat, four recruits came for their official visits to Stanford. The weekend was great- I think the recruits had a great time, as well as the entire team. It's crazy to start thinking about next year when this one has just begun, but I know the team is already excited for the girls to get to Stanford next year.

This past week consisted of a lot of strength and conditioning at practice, and a lot of moving in to dorms outside of practice. The freshmen love their dorms, roommates, and the freshmen experience here at Stanford.

This weekend the Stanford football team takes on USC at Stanford, so GO CARD!!!
