Hello everyone!
Well, this past week was nothing less than incredible. On Friday,
our five seniors competed in their final meet at Burnham Pavillion, and
they did not disappoint. Breaking nearly every record in the book, the
seniors put up a total of four perfect 10's (yes, FOUR!). Lindsay and
Caroline each earned one on floor, and Lise earned two--one on floor and
one on beam. In addition, Shelly stuck a huge vault and put up a 9.95 on
floor, while Kendall nailed a jaw-dropping beam set. Along with amazing
performances by everyone else, the team scored an unmatched 198.875!!!
YAHOO! Thanks to Caroline, Kendall, Lindsay, Lise, and Shelly, it was
really a magical night...a night no one could ever forget!
We had a good week of training in the gym, and everyone is ready to
bring the excitement from Senior Night on the road. Tomorrow, the team is
heading off to Oregon for a meet against the OSU Beavers. Unfortunately,
I won't be going with them this time...tomorrow morning I'm getting
surgery to fix a shoulder injury. Not so fun, but no worries--I'll be all
healed up and ready to go before you know it! Hope everyone is having a
great week!
Britt
