Feb. 10, 2004

Hello everyone!

As you may know, we competed against the UCLA Bruins this weekend at UCLA. We ended up losing, but I think we learned a lot from the competition. We started the weekend by watching the movie, Miracle, when we got in to LA Saturday night. It was a great movie, and the best part was that we came away with a ton of inspirational quotes!

We were really pleased with most of the competition- vault and floor were our two best events this weekend. It is always fun to compete at UCLA because a lot of us have friends on the team there, plus it was especially beneficial to go down there this year as they are hosting the 2004 NCAA Nationals.

As for this week, we are in the midst of midterms, so everyone is trying to prepare for those, as well as for our competition in Oklahoma. We leave on Thursday for Norman, and then compete on Friday. As a team, we are looking forward to this competition because Oklahoma is a great team, and hopefully we will take this opportunity to earn a high away score. We only have seven competitions left in the year, and we are looking to make the most of every opportunity that comes our way!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Kendall
