Feb. 6, 2004

It's a beautiful day in the Stanford neighborhood… the sun is out and there are blue skies all around- what a wonderful way to end this week off. The week was full of midterms, that will only continue into next week, which is so much fun J It's so great to have the gym as an outlet where we can forget about all the formulas or essay topics that we've tried so hard to master. We came off a great meet last Friday night with the University of Washington. There was a great crowd that made for much excitement after each and every routine. The night was filled with many great performances, like Lindsay's perfect ten on beam, and Flurry's near perfect routine on floor. I particularly enjoyed this one guy from the front row that would stand up after every routine and shout "Ten!… Ten!… Ten!" - mind you, this guys did not have a shirt on, but instead painted the number 10 on this chest. It was great fun! I actually think he was from apart of Stacy's loyal dorm fan club, thanks guys! Oh and don't forget to mark your calendars for our last home meet on February 20th against Cal- and it'll be our "Alumni/Senior Meet."

This weekend we are heading down to UCLA and it is sure to be another great meet. We've been working hard on improving the minor details on every event, as well as adding new skills. Forget the Grammy's, women's gymnastics is the hottest ticket this weekend in Los Angeles, Ca! For those of you who cannot make it, it will be televised on Fox Sports Net sometime next week- so don't forget to watch us in action!
