This week is a special week because today is Marla's birthday. We are going to take her to brunch tomorrow morning after practice at one of our favorite restaurants- The Pancake House. Happy Birthday to Marla!

As for gymnastics, we had a wonderful week. Everyone is looking awesome in the gym. The team is getting more consistent and refined every day. The beam and bars teams prove themselves tough in pressure situations every day, which is good because we have our first intrasquad coming up next week! We won't have judges for the first one, but it is a great tool to gauge how everyone is doing and how the team reacts in a competition situation. There are still a few injured people, but we are all progressing in physical therapy and hopefully will be back for the beginning of the season.

We are also gearing up for our annual Sips 'n Swings wine tasting fundraiser. We hope to see everyone there! It is a wonderful event and the team loves putting it on.

I am especially excited for the season, as it is my senior year. It will be hard to top the other three years, but I hope, along with the other four seniors, that this is our best year yet.
